Texas A&M-Texarkana and the Bowie County Master Gardeners will present a program on “Beekeeping”, Monday, March 12, 2018 in the University Center on the A&M-Texarkana campus, 7101 University Avenue, Texarkana, Texas,  from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

The program will be presented by James Lamb and his wife. They are owners of Southwest Arkansas Beekeeping Supplies in Fulton, Arkansas. James works for the University of Arkansas Southwest Research and Extension Center in Hope Arkansas, he is a member of Texarkana Beekeepers, Hempstead County Master Gardeners, and is currently the President of the Miller County Red Dirt Master Gardeners.

With 8 years’ experience in beekeeping, James will be answering questions about becoming a beekeeper and getting started in beekeeping.  As raising bees becomes more popular by the day, James will have hands-on material to show how it is an interesting hobby with added benefits.

The class is free and open to the public, and will take place in the Science and Technology Building, Room 306.
