Currently celebrating 19 years in business, all rhythm dance alley had always featured their dancers at the Mistletoe Fair up until 2008 as their Christmas showcase benefiting the Junior League of Texarkana. However, this year in partnership with 3 other organizations to bring this show on Dec. 12.

This years event will be held Saturday, December 12th at 9:00 a.m. at Liberty Eylau middle school. There are no entry fees charged, anyone is invited to attend. However, this event is to raise money for our charities so donations are asked for at the door.

They will accept cash donations or items such as: dog food, cat food, cat litter, pine chips, blankets, bowls, toys, treats, collars, leashes, puppy pads etc. The event will start with a silent auction, put on by our branson showcase cloggers, of over 100 items donated by generous local businesses and individuals. The auction will remain open prior to the show and reopen during intermission. Santa will be there for photo ops along with plenty of visiting furry friends that are currently adoptable or rehabilitating rescues. To assist in the overall donation, a snack concession will be available as well at 10:00 a.m.

In December of 2009, instead of bringing Christmas gifts for exchanging, students simply brought donations consisting of dog food, cat food, bedding, food bowls and leashes, and made their first contribution to the Texarkana humane society.
The following year, ARDA was thrilled to host their first official mini showcase and event at Liberty Eylau middle school where they featured their dancers and hosted a silent auction. Instead of charging admission, they accepted donations at the door filling up 2 truck beds of food and pet items.

Not only was Santa present, so was several of the pets that were currently up for adoption. Between 2009 and 2012 the dancers continued hosting their event and over that time span raised over $10,000 and collected countless goods for Texarkana humane society. Since 2012, the hosting location had been unavailable, however, this year we are excited at the opportunity to kick of the event again and will even include 3 local rescues.

The mini showcase will open with a video of the animals from each rescue. After featuring the ARDA dancers, in closing, the entire student body will present a check from the overall proceeds to the Texarkana Humane Society, the Texarkana Boxer Rescue and the Texarkana Toby’s Tales Rescue & Rehabilitation.

This event requires a lot of dancing hands reaching out, so if you are interested in volunteering your time, concession items, auction items, christmas decorations, videography, photography, music editing, making the video of rescues, after show clean up, loading chairs & tables onto trailer after the performance, etc. please contact Smith.

Those unable to attend can still make donations to the event on our “go fund me” account. ARDA Dancing hands reaching out!! Donations will be accepted via “go fund me” through Thursday, Dec. 10. The funds collected from the go fund me along with all proceeds from the entire event will be split between the 3 rescues! Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated!

“I am honored to feature my dancers and in connection… make a difference to our furry friends!” Smith said proudly.
