Sparks in the Park is happening Saturday, June 30 at the Four States Fair Grounds. Gates open at 4:00 p.m.

According to police 30,000 people are estimated to attend this year.

Police ask that if you plan to attend be aware of heavy traffic around the fair grounds and those roads leading to the fair grounds.

“Traffic is always a huge issue and we make a lot of effort to ensure the event goes smooth as possible,” TAPD said in Facebook post. “With an estimated 30,000 people attending this event you should expect delays and long waits. Be prepared to sit in traffic for long periods of time both arriving and leaving the event.”

“Dropping teenagers off and leaving them is not encouraged because this creates several issues with traffic getting in and out and should your child become involved in some type of incident they will most likely be asked to leave or transported to JDC.”

Vehicles will not be allowed to park on any of the roads leading to the fairgrounds. Vehicles left unattended will be cited and towed. Remember not to park at businesses unless your invited these are private property and you could be asked to leave or your vehicle could be towed as well. Do not block driveways in residential neighborhoods or park in yards where your not invited.

U of A Way will be two lanes in until the fireworks start then they will be two lanes out. The city has an ordinance against shooting fireworks in the city limits, you are caught you will be asked to cease or be cited.
