TEXARKANA, TX – Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers responded to a two vehicle crash on US-71, approximately 1.5 miles north of Texarkana around 8:40 Wednesday morning.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates a 2009 Mack Truck-Tractor, towing a Trailer, was traveling north in the right lane of US-71 when struck from behind by a 2007 Honda 4-door passenger car.
The Honda driver, Courtney Kaylyn Jewell, a 23-year-old female from Ashdown, Ark. was pronounced dead on scene by Justice of the Peace Nancy Talley.
The Truck-Tractor driver, Glenn Paul Fuller, 34 year old male from Texarkana and passenger, Doug Cochran, also from Texarkana, TX were not injured.
