False alarm: Texarkana Police find no evidence of shots fired at Pleasant Grove Middle School

At approximately 9:15 a.m. Texarkana Texas Police Department was dispatched to Pleasant Grove Middle School for a possible shooting but once on the scene, police found no evidence of a shooter, a shooting, or injuries.

TXK Today crew arrived on scene at approximately 9:19 a.m. as authorities began arriving on campus shortly after the call was made. According to police radio traffic, authorities went inside the school where they spoke with Pleasant Grove Middle School officials, who were not aware of any shooting or anything out of the ordinary taking place on their campus.

Officials proceeded to clear the building and are still investigating, they are also attempting to track the phone call that was made early this morning.

According to Sargeant Geoff Lewis the school was on temporary lock down and all the children in the school are safe. The school has resumed normal schedule.
