Fourth Person Arrested in WalMart Robbery

walmtTEXARKANA, TEXAS – The Texarkana Texas Police Department has made a fourth arrest stemming from a robbery that occurred in the parking lot of a local grocery store on January 22. We arrested Deion-Trez Ellis, 20, of Texarkana, Texas for Aggravated Robbery without incident at a relative’s home in Texarkana yesterday afternoon.

Officers were dispatched to the report of a robbery of an individual at the Walmart Neighborhood Market, located in the 3500 block of Richmond Road, at approximately 4:30 p.m. on January 22. The victim told officers that she was sitting in her vehicle in the parking lot when two young males approached her. They initially asked to use her cell phone and started to walk away after she refused. However, they both returned to her window a few seconds later. One of the suspects pointed a pistol at her and demanded she hand over her purse. The suspects then fled with the victim’s property on foot before getting into a vehicle occupied by two other people.

Three other suspects, who were juveniles aged 16 and 14, were previously arrested and are being held in area juvenile detention centers. One of those juveniles was also arrested for a robbery of an individual who was sitting in his driveway on Sandlin Avenue on January 23.

Ellis is incarcerated at the Bi-State Jail. His bond has been set at $100,000.
