[Official Update] Head on Accident With 18 Wheeler Kills Two I-30 W at Nash, TX

Official Update at 4:00 pm | TEXARKANA, Texas–Texarkana, Texas Police are investigating a crash that occurred on Interstate 30 just westbound of the 218 (Nash) Exit.  The crash occurred at approximately 1:04pm.

Upon arrival officers were advised that a flatbed 1 ton truck pulling a trailer eastbound on Hampton Road lost control and struck the guardrail then entered the westbound lane of Interstate 30 and was struck head on by an 18 wheeler.  Both east and west bound I30 will be closed until the scene is investigated and cleared.

Both occupants of the 1 ton truck, Dustynn Shrader, 32, of Texarkana, Texas and Mario Zambraro, 21, of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, were deceased at the scene.  The driver of the 18 wheeler was taken to St. Michaels Hospital for his injuries.

1:10 P.M Tuesday | Both directions of I-30 westbound were closed for a major accident near Nash, Texas. From on scene witnesses and tire marks it appears a vehicle was traveling eastbound pulling a trailer on the North Service Road when they lost control for an unknown reason and entered I-30 westbound lanes colliding with an 18 wheeler.

Radio traffic indicated that 2 people were trapped in the car. An on scene first responder confirmed that two people traveling in the vehicle that crossed into interstate were killed.
