Two Shot in Gang Related Shooting at Raceway Station State Line

10:00 A.M. TAPD Statement:

At 0111 hours this morning (10/05/14) 911 received a call of several shots fired at the 4120 N. Stateline Ave, the Race Way. Upon officers arrival it was determined that a physical altercation occurred that resulted in shots fired on the parking lot of the business.

Two subjects were struck. One was taken to the ER at Saint Michael’s and suffered a gunshot wound. At this time he is in stable condition. The second gunshot victim, Fred Eatherly, B/M 30 yoa, was taken to the ER at Wadley and later passed away from his injuries.

CID was contacted and responded. Several Detectives are currently working to gather information and speak with witnesses.

1:10 A.M. Sunday | 911 operators received reports of a large disturbance at Raceway gas station, 4120 N. Sate Line Ave., with multiple shots fired. Texarkana, Texas and Arkansas Police were quickly on scene and according to radio traffic reported that a male had been accosted by several, “four block gang members.”

The victim also told police that someone had fled the scene who had been shot in the side.

Minutes later police dispatchers advised that a victim was en route to Wadley Hospital. Police units arrived at Waldey finding the victim and multiple witnesses that drove him to the hospital. As police were arriving to wadley they were advised by St. Michaels hospital that they also had a gunshot victim arrive.

Police are still on scene investigating and processing the crime scene.
