Murdered Miller County Correctional Officer Honored at State Capital

Murdered Miller County Correctional Officer Lisa Mauldin and members of her family were honored today during the 36th Annual State Peace Officers’ Memorial Day Service in Little Rock, at the state capital.

According to Miller County Sheriff’s Office, her name, along with two other Arkansas Law Enforcement Officers who died in the line of duty during 2016, was added to the Law Enforcement Memorial.

On Sunday, December 18, 2016, at approximately 01:00 p.m. two female correction officers were attacked by an inmate within the Miller County Detention Center. Officer Lisa Mauldin succumbed to her injuries and Officer Demaris Allen was seriously injured.
