Texas High School Student qualifies for Business Professionals of America State Conference; five students named state alternate

Six student members of the Texas High School Business Professionals of America (BPA) Chapter earned top awards and qualified or placed as alternate during the Regional Leadership Conference held on January 19, 2019 in Frisco, TX. Over 800 students participated in the regional event.

Lauren Braswell was named 3rd State Qualifier for C# Programming.

Those earning State Alternate positions include: Guillermo Pass – 4th Alternate (Computer Animation); Kenichi Pass – 4th Alternate (Computer Animation); Tarren Engle – 6th Alternate (Database Applications); Emilee Herrington – 6th Alternate (Computer Modeling); and, T’Kendriona Jordan – 6th Alternate (Interview Skills).

The mission of Business Professionals of America is to contribute to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic and technological skills. Texas High School Student Advisors are Mark Ahrens, Melinda Asher and Deborah Mills.
