Texarkana Independent School District will remain closed on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, due to unsafe road conditions in parts of the community.
District officials announced the continued closure Tuesday, citing ongoing safety concerns despite improvements on some roadways.
“Although some roads are improving, travel remains unsafe in certain areas,” the district stated. “To ensure the safety of all students and staff, it is necessary to keep schools closed.”
