A multi-agency investigation into methamphetamine trafficking through Texarkana resulted in the seizure of 620 pounds of meth valued at $28.1 million, authorities say.

In November 2025, investigators received information that methamphetamine was being trafficked through the Texarkana area. A coordinated effort between the 8th South Narcotics Task Force, Arkansas State Police, Texas DPS, the DEA, FBI, and the 8th North Narcotics Task Force led to a traffic stop of the suspected vehicle at a weigh station near Hope, Arkansas.

During the stop, investigators discovered the massive drug shipment concealed within approximately 10 tons of fresh limes being transported in a box truck.
