May 27, 1945 — June 2, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Delma Plowman, who departed this life on June 2, 2026, at the age of 81.

Delma was a devoted wife, mother, nana, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend. She shared a life filled with love and family alongside her beloved husband, Jeff Plowman. Together, they built a family that became Delma’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment.

Delma was preceded in death by her children, Trena and Michael, three brothers Curtis, Paul, and Ralph Maxey, sister Thelma Warren and by two cherished great-grandchildren, Reese Scantling and Willow Plowman.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Plowman; her children Kenneth Green (Lisa), Bobby Watkins, Allen Plowman, Chuck Plowman (Joanna), Beth Tinder (Thurston), and Nonie Thompson (Eric); her sister Carol Conlon; her 19 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends.

Known for her quick wit, sharp sense of humor, and larger-than-life personality, Delma was truly one of a kind. She never met a stranger, always had a story to tell, and could leave a room full of people laughing with just a few words. She was the kind of woman who made life more enjoyable simply by being in it. To know Delma was to love her.

Delma leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, strength, and family. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the joy she brought to those around her will live on for generations to come.

Her family finds comfort in knowing that her laughter echoes in their memories, her love remains in their hearts, and her legacy continues through the many lives she touched.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 5, 2026 at Eylau Methodist Cemetery.

A visitation will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Chapelwood Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
