Texas High Senior Sanders Wiggins Named One Of Five Students Statewide To Receive TASSP Award

Texas High School senior Sanders Wiggins was named one of five students statewide to receive the TASSP Ten Serving Texas Award for leadership, service and character.

TEXARKANA, Texas — Texas High School senior Sanders Wiggins was recognized by the Texarkana ISD Board of Trustees this week after being named one of just five students in Texas to receive the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals Ten Serving Texas Award.

Wiggins was presented with a Certificate of Recognition and a commemorative medal by Coach Gerry Stanford, TISD executive director of athletics.

The TASSP Ten Serving Texas Award recognizes students who demonstrate outstanding leadership, service, character and a commitment to making a positive impact in their schools and communities.

“Your leadership and servant’s heart continue to inspire our entire Texarkana ISD community,” the district said in a statement. “We are incredibly proud of you.”
