Wake Village Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Young Girl
TEXARKANA, Texas — A Wake Village, Texas, man accused of molesting a girl for two years beginning when she was a 7-year-old, is being held in the Bowie County jail with bail at $1 million.
Treyvon Deangelo Thompson, 32, allegedly forced the girl to perform sexual acts on him while he sat on a bed or on a bathroom toilet, according to a probable cause affidavit filed Thursday.
Thompson was allegedly related to the girl by marriage and would allegedly force her to touch him and engage in sexual activity nearly every day from the time the girl was 7 until she was 9, the affidavit said. The girl allegedly reported multiple incidences of sexual misconduct by Thompson that meet the definition of sexual assault and indecency with a child. He is also accused of showing the girl pornography that depicted a man receiving oral sex.
The girl was staying with a female relative out of town when she reportedly made an outcry of the abuse. That relative told the girl’s mother, who reportedly made a report to police.
Thompson has been charged with the continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14. The offense is punishable by a minimum of 25 years up to life in prison and there is no parole eligibility from any sentence imposed in the event of a conviction.
Thompson is represented by the Bowie County Public Defender’s Office. The case has been assigned to 102nd District Judge Jeff Addison.
