
Arrest Made In Texarkana ATM Robbery Investigation
TEXARKANA, Ark. — Police have arrested a suspect in connection with Monday’s robbery of an ATM technician at Farmer’s Bank & Trust on Arkansas Boulevard.
Christopher Rogers was taken into custody Thursday, July 15, in connection with the incident, according to the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department.
The robbery occurred around 2 p.m. Monday, July 13, in the 1100 block of Arkansas Boulevard. Police said the ATM was being serviced when two men approached the technician and demanded money from the machine. The suspects gained access to the ATM by threatening the victim and removed an undisclosed amount of cash before leaving the scene, according to TAPD.
Detectives with the department’s Criminal Investigation Division reviewed surveillance video of the incident and followed leads from the footage and witness statements to identify those responsible.
“Our detectives have worked diligently to move this case forward, and we appreciate the community’s support as the investigation continues,” the department said in a release announcing the arrest.
