Boil Water Notice Rescinded for TWU Customers South of West 15th Street, West of South State Line
Texarkana Water Utilities announced Friday, August 7, 2026, that the boil water notice affecting TWU customers south of West 15th Street and west of South State Line has been rescinded.
On August 5, 2026, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Texarkana, Texas public water system (ID 0190004) to issue a boil water notice due to conditions that recently occurred in the public water system. Under that notice, customers were required to boil water before drinking or other human consumption.
TCEQ no longer requires the water to be boiled prior to use, as of August 7, 2026.
The affected area under the rescinded notice was TWU customers south of West 15th Street and west of South State Line. TWU said the public water system took the necessary corrective actions to restore water quality and provided TCEQ with laboratory test results showing the water no longer requires boiling.
