
TAPD SWAT Team Executes High-Risk Warrant on Washington Street; Suspect in Custody
TEXARKANA, Ark. — The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department’s SWAT Team took a suspect into custody Wednesday morning during a high-risk arrest and search warrant operation at 3302 Washington Street.
According to TAPD, the operation was carried out in support of an ongoing criminal investigation and involved the execution of a high-risk search and arrest warrant. Officers took the suspect into custody safely and without incident.
The department said specialized resources like the SWAT Team are used in situations that present an elevated risk to officers, residents, and the surrounding community, and emphasized its commitment to conducting high-risk operations in a “professional, deliberate, and safety-focused manner.”
The suspect’s identity and any charges have not yet been released. TAPD says additional information about the investigation will be made public as it becomes available and as permitted by law.
The department thanked the SWAT Team members and supporting personnel who worked together to safely resolve the operation.
