Mr. Bobby McDonald, 67, of Stamps, Arkansas passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of August 26, 2026, at Christus St. Michael Healthcare System of Texarkana, Texas. He was surrounded by family members. Bobby was a lifetime resident of Lafayette County Arkansas and spent nearly sixty years living in Stamps. He was a proud graduate of Stamps High School where he excelled in football.
He was born to the late Mr. Sammy McDonald and the late Mrs. Myrtle Lee Davis-McDonald on October 23, 1958, in Fort Worth, Texas. He started grade school in the Lewisville School District and started in Stamps at an early age after his parents and family moved from Lewisville to Stamps. He was the third of eight children. After graduating from high school, he immediately went into the workforce where he spent almost forty years at Alan White Furniture Company.
He was preceded in death by both parents, his older sister Myrtle Marie McDonald and his older brother Sammy McDonald, Jr. He is survived by his wife and life partner of forty years, Mrs. Tanger Bishop-McDonald. His daughter, Ms. Latoria McDonald, his son, Mr. Bobby Montez McDonald. Three sisters Mrs. Gladys (Johnny) Smith of Lewisville, Arkansas, Ms. Mildred McDonald-Word and Ms. Mary McDonald-Kelley, both of Texarkana, Arkansas. Two brothers, Mr. Lonnie McDonald of Magnolia, Arkansas and Mr. Lennie McDonald of Stamps, Arkansas. Three grandchildren, Sed’Dreka Cooper, Chassidy Stevens and Legend Loudermill, all of Stamps, Arkansas, and one great-grandchild Alaina Cooper. Bonus daughter and granddaughter, Dyamond Bell and Nova Bell. A host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters in law and brothers in law, as well as friends and former co-workers.
His service will be held on Sunday September 6, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. in the Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 415 East First Street, Stamps, Arkansas 71860, where Pastor Alvis Hamilton will serve as Officiant and Eulogist. There will be a public visitation in the Hamilton-Davis Chapel on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. His interment will be immediately following his service at Mt. Zion Cemetery Highway 53 South of Stamps in McKamie, Arkansas.
