Man arrested on multiple burglary charges

In recent months, the Texarkana AR Police department has had numerous breaking or entering of vehicles reports. On October 31st, members of the Criminal Investigation Division identified the suspect as Marquis Robinson, 31yoa, from Bastrop, LA. It was also discovered Robinson had outstanding warrants for Attempted Homicide in Louisiana. A search warrant was prepared on Robinson’s residence in Texarkana, AR. Upon execution of this search warrant, Robinson, a convicted felon, was found to be in possession of three firearms, a large amount of marijuana and electronic scales. One of the firearms was also reported stolen in a recent breaking or entering of a vehicle.

Subsequent investigation revealed Robinson was also responsible for three commercial burglaries of businesses in Texarkana, AR. In total, Robinson has been arrested for the following felony charges: Commercial Burglary- 3 counts; Breaking or Entering- 16 counts; Theft of Property by Receiving (Firearm); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver; Possession of Weapon by Certain Persons; Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms and a hold for the felony warrants from Louisiana.

Robinson is currently being jailed at the Miller County Detention Center.
