An accident on Highway 82 Sunday afternoon took the life of a Miller County man.
According to the Arkansas State Police, 54-year-old Michael Looney was killed in a head on crash in the 6100 block of Highway 82.
According to the crash report, Looney was driving east on 82 when a car driven by 19-year-old Demarcus Pegue of Texarkana crossed the centerline. Pegue first almost hit another car before running off the roadway and striking Looney’s vehicle, the report states.
Pegue was taken to Wadley Hospital and has since been transferred to UAMS in Little Rock.
