Suspect that allegedly opened fire on Ashdown Police in custody

25-year-old Glen Derricks was taken into custody around 1:30 p.m. today at the Ashdown City Park.

Derricks, from Dallas, had been on the run after allegedly firing at an Ashdown, Ark. Police Officer Monday night.

Derricks was riding in the car when it was pulled over in Ashdown. When the vehicle came to a stop Derricks jumped out of the vehicle and allegedly began firing at the officer. No one was injured.

Derricks then ran into a neighborhood. Little River County SHeriff, Ashdown Police and Arkansas State Police searched for Derricks all night.
