A New Boston, Texas, high school coach arrested earlier this month allegedly touched a 15-year-old boy in the athletic field house.

Zachary Moody, 40, allegedly blocked the boys path as he was walking down a hallway in the field house April 10. Moody allegedly cupped the boy’s pubic area with his hand and attempted to push him into the locker room, which was unoccupied at the time, according to a probable cause affidavit. Moody allegedly asked the boy to, “give him a little squeeze,” and not to walk away from him.
The boy told Moody to stop and later asked a friend to tell his mother because he was embarrassed. Later in the day Moody allegedly sent the boy an Instagram message which stated, “I was being stupid, sorry,” the affidavit states.

The boy showed the message to his parents and the alleged misconduct was reported that day to the New Boston Police Department. Moody was arrested the next day and has been behind bars since. Bail is set at $100,000 on a charge of improper relationship between educator and student.
