The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 11 p.m. for much of Texas including the Texarkana area.
Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to erupt along and in advance of a cold front across portions of Southeast Oklahoma and Northeast Texas. These storms will be moving southeastward across the region this evening.
Large hail and damaging thunderstorm wind gusts will be the likely result with any severe thunderstorms later today into this evening.
