Texarkana Man Arrested for Human Trafficking

Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division (CID) Agents working with the FBI and the Texarkana Texas Police Department arrested a Texarkana man for human trafficking.

Kenneth D. Nelson, 63, of Texarkana, was arrested Thursday and booked into the Bi-State Jail according to DPS Spokeswoman Trooper Sylvia Jennings.

According to Jennings, Nelson was charged with five counts of continuous trafficking of persons; all of which were underage girls. The charge is a first-degree felony.

The investigation began eight months ago and is ongoing.

“It is believed that there are other victims that have not been identified,” said Jennings. “Anyone with information regarding this individual or any crime of this nature is asked to call the Texas Department of Public Safety, Criminal Investigations Division at (903) 255-5701.”
