Bowie County man arrested for Arson

A Bowie County man has been arrested for Arson for a fire that occurred Wednesday in Maud.

According to Deputy Fire Marshal Scottie Taylor, On Wednesday march March 7 Maud Fire Department and Bowie County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 936 Runnells Street in Maud, TX for a residential fire with a disturbance in progress.

According to Taylor the suspect William DeWayne Turner was arrested by Bowie County Sheriff’s Office for family violence Impeding breathing or circulation and booked at Bi State Justice Center Jail.

Taylor and Investigator David Gipson determined the fire to be Arson and a warrant was obtained for the arrest of Turner.

Turner was arrested for the Arson at Bi-State Justice Center Jail in Texarkana on Friday morning. No Bond has been set at this time.
