Man Accused Of Armed Robbery 2 Weeks After Pleading To Car Theft

TEXARKANA, Texas–A 19-year-old Texarkana man being held in the Bowie County jail with bail set at $250,000 for aggravated robbery had been placed on probation less than two weeks before for unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Logan Adam Page allegedly stole a handgun May 8 from a man who was staying in the same mobile home as him in the 6900 block of S. State Line Ave., according to a probable cause affidavit filed Monday.

The man told police he was sleeping in a recliner when he was woken by the sound of a gunshot being fired near his left ear. Page had allegedly taken the man’s pistol, a silver-handled 45 mm handgun, and was pointing at him, demanding that he empty his pockets as Page fired the weapon again in a different direction, the affidavit said.

Page allegedly told the man to leave the mobile home out of the back door.

When the man reportedly asked if he could at least have his keys, Page allegedly pointed the gun at him and told him to “get out.”

The man reportedly ran through a pasture before reaching a roadway where he was able to call for help, the affidavit said.

Police went to the residence and ordered Page out. The handgun was recovered from beneath a pillow where Page had been sleeping, the affidavit said.

Page had been arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle April 2 after leading police on a high-speed chase in a stolen car, according to an April 2 social media post by the Texarkana Texas Police Dept.

Page entered a guilty plea to the auto theft charge April 27, less than two weeks before his arrest on the robbery charge. He was sentenced to a five-year term of probation by 202nd District Judge John Tidwell.

As a convicted felon, Page is prohibited from possessing a gun.

If convicted of aggravated robbery, Page faces five to 99 years or life in prison. He could face additional time behind bars if the probation he is serving for unauthorized use of vehicle.

Page is represented by the Bowie County Public Defender’s Office.
