A Texarkana, Texas, man accused of sharing pornographic videos of children on Facebook with a friend in Mexico pleaded not guilty Monday before a judge in Bowie County.
Osnar Bustamante Labrada, 24, appeared for arraignment Monday with Texarkana attorney Jeff Harrelson before 5th District Judge Bill Miller and entered a not guilty plea to a charge of possession of child pornography with intent to promote. The second-degree felony is punishable by two to 20 years in prison.
According to a search and arrest warrant affidavit, Investigators with the Texas Department of Public Safety began investigating Labrada in January after receiving information from the Texas Rangers which was compiled by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and several other Texas law enforcement agencies. The investigation allegedly revealed that Labrada and a Facebook friend from Mexico shared several videos on the social media platform which depict the sexual abuse of prepubescent children in June 2018.
The videos allegedly showed children being abused by an adult and with a dog. At least one of the videos was in Spanish with Spanish subtitles.
Labrada is currently free on a $75,000 bond. Miller scheduled Labrada to return to court Dec. 9 for a pretrial hearing.
