Passenger ejected from car in pursuit dies

The Wake Village Police Department has learned the injured individual from Monday morning’s pursuit/crash, 20-year-old De’andre Jackson has passed away from injuries sustained in the crash. Jackson’s body has been sent to Dallas for Autopsy.

The original charge against Deontrae Solomon of Evading Arrest in a Vehicle Causes Serious Bodily Injury has been dropped. A Murder warrant has been prepared and served on Solomon along with numerous other charges such as 2 counts of Burglary of a Vehicle, 2 counts of Theft of a Firearm, Theft over $2500 under $30,000, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle. Bond on new charges is $80,000. Bond has not yet been set on the Murder charge.

Texas State Law states a person commits an offense if he commits or attempts to commit a felony (Evading Arrest or Detention in Vehicle), other than manslaughter, and in the course of and in furtherance of the commission or attempt, or in immediate flight from the commission or attempt, he commits or attempts to commit an act clearly dangerous to human life that causes the death of an individual.
