Texarkana Man Accused Of Sexual Misconduct With 9-Year-Old Girl
TEXARKANA, Texas–A Texarkana man has been charged with two counts of indecency with a child for alleged misconduct with the 9-year-old daughter of family friends.
Frederick Earl Hudson, 45, allegedly touched the girl inappropriately while she was staying at his home in Texarkana, Texas, this year, according to a probable cause affidavit.
The girl’s mother reported the alleged abuse to police in late May and the girl was interviewed at the Texarkana Children’s Advocacy Center in early June, the affidavit said. Hudson allegedly touched the girl in intimate places over her clothes while they were sleeping in a bed at his home along with another child on Mother’s Day weekend.
The girl reportedly got up and took the younger child with her to the living room as Hudson allegedly said, “If you don’t wanna do this, then get out,” the affidavit said.
On an earlier date, Hudson allegedly called the girl to a bedroom, pulled his pants down and placed her hand on his groin, the affidavit said. The girl allegedly ran from Hudson on that occasion as well.
Hudson is currently being held in the Bowie County jail with bail set at $400,000.
If convicted of indecency with a child by contact, Hudson faces two to twenty years in prison on each count.
Hudson is represented by the Bowie County Public Defender’s Office.
The case has been assigned to 202nd District Judge John Tidwell.
