Two shot at Stop & Shop

Texarkana, Ark. Police are investigating after two people were shot Thursday night at a gas station.

The shooting happened around 10 p.m. at the Stop & Shop convenience store on E. 9th Street.

According to Texarkana, Ark. Police Sergeant Briggs, the two victims shot each other. One victim was transported to CHRISTUS St. Michael Hospital by private vehicle and the other to Wadley by ambulance.

One person was detained by police at the convenience store for tampering with evidence. A crime scene was also established around the vehicle that drove the suspect to St. Michael, and at least one person was destined by police.

The condition of the two that were shot is unknown at this time. Police continue to investigate.
