Summer Open Hours: Mayo Arts MakerSpace

WhenWednesday, June 10, 2026 · 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

School is out, and we are expanding our Mayo Arts MakerSpace offerings to keep you and your family creative over the summer! Starting June 1, our most accessible studio is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10-3 PM. Come and create on your own time!

This is a perfect summer activity for families, grandparents, babysitters, and imaginative makers of all ages to make memories and make art together, all while flexing their creative muscles and escaping the heat!

💛 To make it even more special, we added a new Summer MakerSpace Club option where you can get TRAHC membership and unlimited MakerSpace access for your family during open hours for a one time fee of $75—half off of normal yearly rates! Regular daily rates are $10/person. The MakerSpace Club Summer pass will be valid through August 31, 2026. Get your pass here.

What is the Mayo Arts Maker Space?

TRAHC’s Mayo Furniture Arts MakerSpace is an exploratory studio experience designed for artists/makers of all ages and skill levels. This open, hands-on environment invites participants to create, experiment, and explore a wide variety of unusual art materials through open-ended projects rather than step-by-step instructions.

Unlike a traditional “make and take,” the Mayo Arts MakerSpace emphasizes discovery, critical thinking, and creative problem solving. Artists/makers engage with artistic challenges that have multiple solutions, encouraging perseverance, curiosity and personal expression. Experiences can be individual or collaborative, allowing artists/makers to learn from both independent exploration and shared discovery.

Materials, prompts, and visual inspirations rotate regularly, including seasonal and holiday influences. Each visit offers fresh opportunities for new ways of making!
