Mall Drive was closed for part of the night as traffic officers investigated a fatal pedestrian accident in front of Olive Garden.
According to police an 88 year old Texarkana man was picking up cans in the area about 10:00 last night, when he crossed the road in front of a van. The driver said he didn’t see him until it was too late.
The man died shortly after being taken to Christus St. Michael Hospital.
