UPDATE –

Miller County Sheriff’s Office has identified the body found Thursday as 24-year-old Kevin Pickens. Pickens was involved in a single vehicle crash near the location.

On Thursday, June 13, 2019 at approximately 2:00 a.m., Miller County Deputies were dispatched to the area of the 2700 block of Miller County Road 70 regarding a one vehicle accident. Upon arrival, Deputies located a 1994 Ford Ranger pickup on the side of Miller County Road 70 that was unoccupied and had apparently been involved in a collision with multiple mail box structures along the side of Miller County Road 70. Deputies and Miller County Investigators responded to the scene and began their follow-up investigation. There was no apparent indication of foul play noted at either the accident scene, or at the location where Mr. Pickens body was discovered. Because of the nature of the incident, the body of Mr. Pickens was transported the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office in Little Rock to determine the cause and manner of death.
