A 41 year old Texarkana man was struck and killed early this morning after getting out of his vehicle on 369/Jarvis Parkway to retrieve something that had fallen off his vehicle while he was driving down the road.
According to police another southbound vehicle hit him while he was apparently looking for the item in the roadway. It does not appear the the other driver could have done anything to avoid this at all.
Charles French was pronounced dead at the scene.
