Police investigating after school shooting threat made at Arkansas High

Texarkana, Ark. Police are investigating after a student allegedly made school shooting threats at Arkansas High.

According to TAPD they responded to Arkansas High School at 11:00 a.m. Friday in reference to a threat report.

“Upon arrival contact was made with TASD School Security who reported receiving information of a 17-year-old juvenile who had made a recent threat of a school shooting,” a TAPD press release reads. “During the time of the report, TASD Security advised police of receiving additional information that the suspect juvenile was possibly on campus.”

TAPD immediately began to search for the juvenile and located him at his place of residence.

This investigation is ongoing by the Threat Intelligence Detective.
