A rolled ice cream shop is now open in Richmond Square in Texarkana.
Fifteen Below Rolled Ice Cream opened last Monday at 2700 Richmond Rd. next door to Mooyah Burger.
Owner Lydia Smith says that a rolled ice cream shop in Little Rock that she would frequent was closing so she decided to buy it and move it to Texarkana. Smith and her mother also own Sheba Family Restaurant in Hope, Ark.
Rolled Ice Cream, also known as stir-fried ice cream, is a sweetened frozen dessert. It is made using milk, cream, and sugars as well as other added ingredients to increase the flavor.
The liquid mixture is stirred to incorporate air spaces on an ice pan and simultaneously cooled to -15°C. The frozen dessert originated in Thailand.
