A 10-year-old Texarkana girl drowned in the Red River in Oklahoma Saturday evening, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The OHP says the girl from Texarkana, Texas was not wearing a life jacket when she slipped and went under while wading in the river Saturday afternoon south of Idabel. Her body was recovered three hours later.
The girls name has not been released.
