Albert Pike among Arkansas swimming areas closed due to E. coli threat

A number of swimming areas in Arkansas have been confirmed closed due to an E. coli threat.

According to the Arkansas Health Department the rainfall has washed lots of natural E. coli from runoff into the lakes.

According to the Arkansas Health Department the following swim beaches are closed as of 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 27.

– Oakland Swim Beach, Marion Co.

– Choctaw Swim Beach, Cleburne Co. (Greers Ferry Lake)

– Dam Site Beach, Cleburne Co. (Greers Ferry Lake)

– Devils Fork, Cleburne Co. (Greers Ferry Lake)

– Hill Creek, Cleburne Co. (Greers Ferry Lake)

– Waveland Beach, Logan Co.

– Albert Pike

– Lake Weddington, Washington Co.

– Beaver Swim Beach, Carroll Co.

– Lake Leatherwood, Carroll Co.

– Blanchard Springs, Stone Co.
