A&M-Texarkana hires Dr. Jeanine Myers as Dean of College of Arts, Sciences, and Education

Texas A&M University-Texarkana has announced the hiring of Dr. Jeanine Myers as the University’s next Dean of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education (CASE). Dr. Myers joins A&M-Texarkana after serving as a Professor of Mathematics and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost at Arkansas Tech University (ATU). Dr. Myers brings more than 30 years of higher education experience to her new role at Texas A&M University-Texarkana.

“Dr. Myers brings a wealth of administrative experience that will allow her to transition seamlessly to the CASE Dean role,” said Dr. Jim Worthen, A&M-Texarkana Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. “I believe that Dr. Myers will be a strong leader who will elevate the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education and the University.”

Dr. Myers holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematical Sciences from Baylor University, a Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences (Operations Research) from Clemson University, and a Ph.D. in Mathematics (Complex Analysis) from the University of Arkansas. Her career in higher education began at Clemson University as a Teaching Assistant, and includes serving as a professor at Alice Lloyd College, The University of the Ozarks, The University of Arkansas, The University of Arkansas Fort Smith, and Arkansas Tech University. In addition to her teaching roles, she has administrative experience as the Department Head of Mathematics, Interim Assistant Vice President for Student Success, and Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, all at ATU.

Dr. Myers has been published multiple times, has been awarded more than $2.8 million in grants, and has chaired or served on numerous committees throughout her career. Her role at Texas A&M University-Texarkana will begin on July 1, 2026.
