Texarkana Texas Police arrested Kierrah Ellis, 25, of Texarkana Texas, for Assault – Family Violence early Monday morning.

According to a press release from Texarkana, Texas Police patrol officers were dispatched to a report of a stabbing at a residence in the 4100 block of Rio Grande Street at 6:00 a.m. Monday. “Upon arrival, they discovered Ellis had stab wounds to both his arm and shoulder area.”

“The investigation subsequently revealed that Ellis had gone to the residence to confront a former girlfriend after believing that he had seen her with another man earlier. After Ellis entered the residence, a verbal confrontation immediately took place. Ellis pushed the female victim to the floor and struck her in the face several times while holding her down. At some point, a friend of the victim gained entry to the residence. She attempted to intervene and stop the attack but was unsuccessful. The victim was able to get away from Ellis, but he pursued her into the kitchen. She then grabbed a steak knife and stabbed Ellis twice to stop his continued attack. Ellis then left the residence and was met by officers as they arrived.”

“Ellis was transported to St. Michael Hospital where he was treated and released. He was then arrested and transported to the Bi-State Jail. The Assault charge was enhanced to Family Violence due to their previous dating relationship. No charges are expected to be filed against the female in this case.”
