Little River County Man Accused Of Possessing Child Sex Abuse Images
ASHDOWN, Ark–An Ashdown man has been charged with possession of child
pornography in an investigation that began last year with a cybertip from
the Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
After receiving information from NCIC in November, local investigators
traveled to the home of Loyd “Robert” Walker, 43, in Ashdown, according to
a probable cause affidavit. During that visit, investigators collected two
cell phones from Walker which were forensically analyzed earlier this month
after a search warrant was issued, the affidavit said.
The analysis of the phone allegedly showed that Walker had an image on his
phone that depicted the sexual abuse of a child.
Bail was set at $25,000 for Walker on Jan. 13 at an initial court
appearance last week, court records show. He is currently being held in the
Little River County jail.
If convicted of possession of child pornography, Walker faces three to ten
years in prison, a fine up to $10,000, or both.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Bryan Chesshir.
