Atlanta Juvenile Charged with Criminally Negligent Homicide for Shooting

On Monday, November 24, 2014 at approximately 1:56 pm, the Atlanta Police Department received a 911 call from the 400 Block of East Thomas Street advising of a shooting, stated Atlanta, Texas Police Chief Mike Dupree.

The juvenile was taken into custody and charged with Criminally Negligent Homicide, a State Jail Felony, stated  Chief Dupree.

Upon arrival Officers located a female juvenile had been shot. Officers also located a male suspect, also a juvenile, that was responsible for the shooting, stated Dupree.

Atlanta EMS transported the victim to St. Michaels where she was pronounced deceased at approximately 3:05 pm, stated Dupree. Judge Bridgett Smith, Cass County Precinct 4, ordered an autopsy. The juvenile was transported to a detention center in Longview.
