Authorities arrest Nashville man for allegedly raping a minor

unnamed (27)Nashville Ark., — A 51-year-old man was arrested yesterday on a charge of rape by Howard County Sheriff’s investigators. Nashville, Ark., is an hour from Texarkana.
Howard County Sheriff’s investigators arrested David K. Hawkins, born Jan. 10, 1963. He resided at 1306 S. Main Street in Nashville, Ark., according to Sheriff Butch Morris.
The alleged rape was reported to the Mineral Springs Police Department on July 17, 2014. The matter allegedly involved a juvenile female.
The case was investigated by the Mineral Springs Police Department, the Arkansas State Police and the Howard County Sheriff’s Department. Bond for Hawkins has been set at $100,000.
