Billy Lynn Cope, age 70, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, May 25, 2026. He was born on December 22, 1955, to James and Dora Cope.
Billy was a retired chemical engineer with Ecolab and previously served as Director of Fleet, Housekeeping, and Laundry for Schumpert Medical. He was an avid Harley rider who enjoyed hunting, tinkering with just about anything, and, most of all, spending time with his family and friends.
Known for his stubborn determination and thoughtful nature, Billy was a man who always followed through on his word and usually had a joke ready to share. He held strong convictions about right and wrong and lived his life with honesty and integrity. Above all else, Billy was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Dena, and a loving father. His love for his family was unwavering, and the memories he created with them will be cherished forever.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dena Cope; his mother and father, James and Dora Cope; and his siblings, James Cope and Gail Scoggins.
He is survived by his daughter, McCall Palmer and husband, Clint Sorensen; along with a host of extended family members and friends.
