Burglars Attempt to Steal ATM out of CVS

The Texarkana Texas Police Department is investigating an early morning burglary where the suspects attempted to steal an ATM.

On December 1, 2015 at approximately 3:00 a.m., officers responded to an alarm call at the CVS Pharmacy, located in the 1900 block of Richmond Road. When officers arrived less than two minutes later, they discovered the glass entrance doors of the business shattered. The suspects used a vehicle to drive through the doors and specifically targeted the ATM inside the building. Officers found the unopened ATM and an abandoned 1989 GMC pickup truck near the east edge of the parking lot. The truck had been reported stolen from an apartment complex in Texarkana, Texas on November 27, 2015.

The building sustained heavy damage during the burglary.
