Burglary in Progress Call Results in Arrest for Meth

Texarkana, Texas Police recently arrested Michelle Lynn for possession of a controlled substance while investigating a possible burglary in progress.

According to a probable cause affidavit written by Officer Bailey with Texarkana, Texas Police Department, he was dispatched to the 2100 block of Texas Boulevard in reference to a possible burglary in progress.  “Dispatch advised that the reporting person informed them that people were actively removing properly from a vacant house to a vehicle that was parked in the alley way.”

According to the affidavit, upon arrival Bailey observed a silver Ford Mustang parked in the alley way with a male leaning on the trunk and a female in the passenger seat.  The male identified himself as Jay Gage and the female identified herself as Michelle Lynn.  Dispatch returns showed that Gage how two outstanding warrants through the justice of the peace so he was arrested.

According to the affidavit Officer Bailey located two small cellophane wrappers containing a white substance which tested positive for methamphetamine.

Being that Lynn was in the immediate area of the passenger side of the vehicle she was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
