Camden Grocery Store Worker Killed in Robbery, Suspect on Loose

According to Magnolia Reporter An employee of a Camden grocery store was shot and killed Friday afternoon during an apparent robbery.

The shooting took place at the Mac’s Fresh Market store in the Garden Oaks Shopping Center about 5:30 p.m. Within a hour an alert went out to all police agencies in the area, including Texarkana police departments.

Camden police said the victim was walking from the store to his car with a bank deposit when he was shot. The victim later died at Ouachita County Medical Center. The gunman was preliminarily identified as a black male wearing dark pants. Police say he took the bank deposit.
The suspect has not been apprehended.
