Carl Edward Rayburn, age 83, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026. He was born in Texarkana, Arkansas to his parents, Lon and Maudie Rayburn. He dedicated over 50 years of his life to federal service; having spent 20 years in the United States Navy before he retired, and an additional 30 years working for the government. He was a great father, and he could always be counted on to be dependable, practical, and he always took care of business.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Rayburn; his parents, Lon and Maudie Rayburn; one sister, Margaret; and five brothers, Robert, Walker, David, Lonnie, and Mike.
He is survived by his two sons, Mark Rayburn (Carrie) and Jonathan Rayburn (Christina); 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
