Cass County crash claims life of Arkansas couple

An accident between a car and a semi-truck in Cass County took the life of two people Sunday.

According to a DPS crash report 65-year-old Walton Wayne Johnson and his wife 62-year-old Serelda Faye Johnson were traveling north on Highway 59 when they hydroplaned across the median and were struck by a southbound truck.  Both were from Mountain View, Ark.

The 2010 Volvo semi-truck was driven by 50-year-old Randy Lee Brumlow of Memphis, Tennessee.

Walton was pronounced dead on scene by Judge Gina Bassham.  Serelda was transported to St. Michael’s Hospital in Atlanta where she was pronounced dead by Dr.Bobby Hobbs.

Walton Wayne Johnson was pronounced dead at 1:15 p.m. by Judge Gina Bassham. Johnson’s body was taken to Hanner Funeral Home in Atlanta.

Serelda Faye Johnson was transported to St. Michael’s Hospital in Atlanta. Serelda F. Johnson was pronounced dead at 1:43 p.m. by Doctor Bobby Hobbs. Johnson’s body was taken to Hanner Funeral Home in Atlanta.
